Jackie Massaro, LMSW
Jackie Massaro, LMSW, has extensive experience in the fields of mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders as a licensed clinical social worker and in professional education. She has provided assessment and treatment services in county jails, alternative to incarceration programs, and services for women and families.
Ms. Massaro also has extensive experience in curriculum design, development of educational products, and online training content development. She is also a polished presenter and technical assistance workshop facilitator. Content areas include mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, criminal justice system, trauma, consumer issues, access to benefits, and suicide prevention. Training populations have included a wide array of criminal justice professionals (including police, probation officers, corrections officers and judges), mental health providers, substance abuse counselors, case managers, and many other human service providers.
Ms. Massaro has authored numerous educational products for both professionals and consumers including Working with People with Mental Illness Involved in the Criminal Justice System: "What Mental Health Service Providers Need to Know" and "Overview of the Mental Health Service System for Criminal Justice Professionals."
